What Makes Pura Sangria Unique

PURA is the only sangría in the world made with ORGANIC single-varietal grapes grown in the same wine region and by the same farmers that own the winery where PURA is produced.

Bodegas San Isidro, located in the province of Murcia (Southeastern Spain) is one of the largest organic grape growers in Europe and almost exclusively dedicated to the Monastrell grape, their pride and joy. Monastrell, also known as Mourvèdre in France’s Rhone Valley, is a premium grape used to make some of the finest wines on earth, including Spain’s highest rated reds from D.O. Jumilla, which have scored as high as 99 over 100 points from Rober Parker Jr., the world’s most renowned wine critic.

It’s the extraordinary quality of the wine used that makes Pura unique. In fact, a mere 1% of natural orange and lemon extract is added to the wine together with a touch of certified ORGANIC pure cane sugar. That’s it. No other additives, colorants or artificial flavors are used. This is the secret behind Pura Organic Sangria’s natural, refreshing and PURE taste.

Regardless of how healthy PURA is, please remember that all alcoholic beverages should be consumed in moderation. Don’t drive nor let others drive after drinking PURA.

How Other Sangrías are Made

THE BASE: low quality bulk wine bought in the secondary market and produced with grapes from multiple varietals and regions. The wine used in most sangrias is made from grapes catalogued as “unfit” for regular wine-making purposes.

THE BLEND: the low-quality bulk wine is then mixed with some/all of the following before bottling:

  1. Colorants
  2. Sweeteners
  3. Additives
  4. Artificial flavors
  5. Artificial aromas
  6. Artificial carbonation
  7. Water
