In fact, a mere 1% of natural orange and lemon extract is added to the wine together with a touch of certified ORGANIC pure cane sugar. That’s it. How Other Sangrías are Made
THE BASE: low quality bulk wine bought in the secondary market and produced with grapes from multiple varietals and regions. The wine used in most sangrias is made from grapes catalogued as “unfit” for regular wine-making purposes.
THE BLEND: the low-quality bulk wine is then mixed with some/all of the following before bottling:
- Colorants
- Sweeteners
- Additives
- Artificial flavors
- Artificial aromas
- Artificial carbonation
- Water
